Have you tried any makeup from Serge Lutens? Do you think it’s worth the price?

Hello there! I’ve used a few products from the Serge Lutens beauty range. I was surprised to find out that they’re owned by Shiseido, who is not lacking for high-end beauty brands (CDP). Their lipsticks are smaller than normal lipsticks but come “refillable” – they’re creamy, pigmented, and long lasting- and my favorite colors are 1, 2, and 7 – but be warned their shades are either very light or very intense.

The pressed powder foundation is also a standout. It doesn’t look cakey and does not dry out skin. I use the shiseido foundation brush to apply it for a natural but solid coverage. Since it is a creamy powder texture, you don’t need to apply a pressed powder to finish it off. The only thing is – this is made more for normal/dry skin, I found during the summer if I was a little oily, the product had difficulty being applied/staying put.

In terms of results, you can definitely find similar performance with less expensive cosmetics (even Tom Ford, Chanel, and La Mer cost less!), but I think the Serge Lutens Beauty collection was made more for their fans and those who wanted something different.
